• Intelligence officials reveal secrets to Donald Trump by Tara McKelvey, BBC News, August 18. "As the Republican nominee for the US presidency, Donald Trump received a classified briefing on Wednesday. What does that mean?"
• Grassley: FBI Improperly Restricting Access to Clinton Docs by Michael Biesecker and Deb Riechmann, Associated Press, August 18. "The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee says the FBI is improperly restricting access to materials from its closed investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server."
• Report: Contractors outnumber U.S. troops in Afghanistan 3-to-1 by Leo Shane III, Military Times, August 17.
