• NSA curbs spying after security breach by Josh Gerstein, Politico, September 21. "The National Security Agency shut down expensive and vital operations as a result of top secret information being spirited out of its headquarters by a fired NSA computer engineer."
• Congressional Research Service Serves Up Once-Scarce Reports by Charles S. Clark, Government Executive, September 20. "As required by Congress this spring, the once-secretive Congressional Research Service this week launched its first-ever portal to encourage public access to hundreds of its reports that in the past were available exclusively to lawmakers."
• Remote solar observatory remains closed after mysterious evacuation by Adam Mann, Science, September 14. "Nobody is quite sure what's going on at the Sunspot Solar Observatory in New Mexico, which was quickly and mysteriously evacuated on 6 September amid reports of a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) probe, and has remained closed."
