
Declassification Guidance 001-98 -- Declassification Decisions Recently Posted on N5P6 Home Page (U)(U) The following declassification determinations have been recently posted on the N5P6 Home Page/ Recent Declassification Decisions (http://www.n.nsa/n5/n5p6Home/declassifications.html):
a. (U) Effective 1 January 1998, the fact that North Korea was targeted by the SIGINT ship USS Banner in 1967 and the SIGINT ship USS Pueblo in 1968.
(U) Also, please be reminded that as changes to the NSA/CSS Classification Manual, 123-2 occur, they will be reflected in the appropriate section of the Manual, as well as "Annex F, Changes and Revisions." Please take time to periodically review this Annex. (http://www.n.nsa/policy/class-manual/)b. (U) Effective 1 February 1998, the fact of an NSA Russian Technical Library, with a collection of 21,000 unclassified Russian books (now under the control of S511, Library Services).
c. (U) The fact of the association of the U-2 aircraft with the Contingency Airborne Reconnaissance System (CARS).
d. (U) Effective 1 February 1998, the fact of targeting Haiti through 1963.
e. (U) Effective 2 April 1998, the fact of targeting Soviet and Vietnam morse and radio-printer communications through 1975.
f. (U) Effective 2 April 1998, the fact of targeting morse and radio-printer communications through 1975 where the target country is not identified.
g. The fact that NSA has Third party SIGINT relationships.
