Declassification Guidance 003-98 -- Support to Military Troops or Operations and Support to Areas of the World

The Chief, Office of Policy has made the following classification determinations:

a) The "fact of" SIGINT support to military troops or operations in a specific country or area of the world (such as Bosnia, Germany, Asia, etc.) is unclassified. For example, to make the statement that "NSA is prepared to provide SIGINT support in the event the situation escalates in a specific country or area of the world" is unclassified.

b) The "fact that" the RSOCs support areas of the world in general is unclassified. [several words deleted] For example, to say the following is not classified:

(1) The Kunia RSOC supports the Pacific.

(2) The Medina RSOC supports the Western Hemisphere.

(3) The Ft. Gordon RSOC supports Europe.
